Just purchased a new vehicle? 

When you order a new vehicle 99% of the time the dealer will offer a paint protection system. The dealer systems in principle sound great, however the main problem is the way customers can be misinformed on the system and what it actually does. Factor in the low level of preparation that the car receives prior to the rushed application (mainly due to their time constraints) and it can lead to poor performance. 
When comparing the 2 options we spend about 3-4 hours preparing and protecting the vehicle even on our standard new car detail while a dealer would do their own system in about an hour.When we venture into the ceramic coatings the detail will take anything from 10-16 hours even on a brand new vehicle. 
We can offer you various paint protection systems from Gtechniq which suite different needs and budgets without any compromise on quality. Gtechniq Standard New Car Detail

Snow Foam

Firstly we W4 snow foam the entire vehicle with a premium neutral foam to loosen road grime and dirt before rinsing.

Iron Fallout Removed

W6 Iron remover is applied to the paintwork and wheels to help break the bond of metal contamination on the surface. 

Safe G Wash

Our safe wash comprises of the 2 bucket method, 1 wash and 1 rinse, as well as a luxury soft Gtechniq wash mitt and luxury neutral shampoo. All door shuts are also pre-treated with W5 citrus cleaner before being washed. 

Wheels & Tyres

Wheels are cleaned with W5 and G Wash to remove brake dust. Tyres cleaned with W5 and a soft brush. 

Dried

All surface are then dried with Gtechniq MF4 drying towels which are soft and effective. 

Tar Removed

W7 Tar remover is applied to the lower half of the bodywork to safely remove tar spots and glue. 

Clay Bar

The paintwork and glass is gently clay barred to remove all contaminants from the surface leaving a super slick and glossy finish and allows perfect bonding of the selected Gtechniq. 

Glass

Exterior glass receives G5 rain repellant 

Wheels & Tyres

Wheels are protected with C2v3 making them easer to clean and it harder for brake dust to stick to.

Tyres are then dressed with T1. We take care not to leave a greasy finish and try to get the tyre looking brand new with a satin finish.

Paint

Gtechniq  Liquid Crystal C2v3 goes on in 2 coats to give up to 6 months worth of protection.  

Exhausts

Exhaust tips polished with M1. 

Interior

The interior is hoovered throughout. Mats and carpets are then protected with Gtechniq I1. Plastics are dusted and the inside of all glass cleaned with G6.

Ceramic Coating Pricing 

An initial standard new car detail will be carried out allowing the upgrades below to be applied. Pricing is based on the service estimator on the Gtechniq website. Below we have given examples of the individual surface coatings based on a medium sized car, so VW Golf or BMW 1 Series. Prices are adjusted slightly up or down depending on the vehicle size and vehicle variations e.g. panoramic roof. 
Please note that we recommend a machine polish to all vehicles before coatings are applied, even if the vehicle is brand new. The older the vehicle the more polishing it wil require, this allows you to get the maximum finish and protection from the coatings.

  • Is Gtechniq better than wax?

    Probably the most common question is why not just keep waxing the car. The 2 main points are level of protection and the durability. A wax will typically last 2-8 weeks depending on the brand and do very little to prevent any surface damage. All Gtechniq coatings offer far superior resistance to damage from daily life for years not weeks. That gives you more time to enjoy your vehicle and less time making it look good. 

  • How do I maintain it?

    We offer full maintenance facilities here at UAS however owners are quite welcome to keep up their own wash routines. We give expert advice and support of how to go about washing and caring for your protected vehicle including literature. In terms of what you need to maintain the coatings it's as simple as Gtechniq shampoo and snowfoam. There are other maintenance products in the range but you would only buy/use these if/when required in the future. 

  • Will it last as long as it states?

    The answer is definitely yes and in some cases beyond. There are many factors which can affect the durability of the products however if maintenance is kept up as advised then there will be no issues. The timescales given are based on real world daily drivers that live outside.  If  vehicle is kept in a garage then we normally see these time increase dramatically. 

  • How long will it take?

    Depending on the age and condition of the vehicle and the exact protection you have selected typically a full Gtechniq new car detail will be with us for 3 full days with collection being possible on the fourth. 

    A standard new car detail is normally in and out in 1 day. 

  • Will it stop stone chips?

    UInfortuantely the answer to this is no it will not. As hard as the various coatings are they are no match for a flying piece of debris. It may help to minimise the surrounding damage caused by an object moving across the surface though. You can opt for the PPF which will resist most debris and save the paint. 

  • Why use a Gtechniq Accredited Detailer?

    Gtechniq will always recommend getting their systems installed by an accredited detailing centre because we are trained and tested on the whole product range which leads to the best possible result. We also have to adhere to strict criteria which applies to the work space, insurances, equipment, present ourselves to customers and even the way in which we represent the brand itself.
